Hiring - Hiring Full-time Cook/Cleaner
Job Summary- 30 hrs cooking/10 hrs cleaning with a total of 40 hrs per week.

The CLJHS provides outreach services and emergency shelter to vulnerable people within the community. Part of the programs are providing hot meals 2 times per day. The Outreach program operates 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily with an average of 30 people utilizing the services offered. The MAT program (emergency shelter) provides a hot meal and safe warm place to sleep at night with an average of 15-20 per night and operates from 7pm to 7am. The programs serve approximately 100 meals per day. The food is donated from the Food Bank, members of community and Cold Lake First Nations. The applicant would need to be able to create meals that reflect the donations.

Knowledge/Skills Required

· Create weekly grocery lists

· Pick up food from Food Bank and other stores per week

· Prepare and cook large meals as precooked frozen meals for the staff to warm up when needed. The meals per week would be 2 meals per day

· Oversee all kitchen operations

· Be aware of and practice sanitation and safety procedures for the kitchen area

· Ensure food, and cleanliness meet quality control standards

· Sanitizing and cleaning of kitchen before and after use

· Scheduled cleaning of appliances

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Operate vacuum trucks to safely and efficiently transport salt brine from production sites to designated disposal or treatment facilities.
Brine haul loads entail long-haul trips, typically involving two loads per day. Driver's must be willing to sleep in the trucks 'sleeper berth'
Adhere to all company and industry safety regulations and protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself, team members, and the community
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance or repair needs.
Maintain accurate records of truck operations, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery schedules
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate hauling assignments and resolve any issues or concerns.
Follow established routes and schedules while adapting to changes in traffic, weather, or road conditions as needed.
Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Participate in training programs and safety meetings to stay informed about industry best practices and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

Valid Class 1 driver’s license (CDL) with no more than 5 demerits in last 3 years
Proven experience operating vacuum trucks or similar heavy equipment.
Knowledge of safe loading and unloading procedures for hazardous materials.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Able to provide a negative result for drug testing (CEDA booked)
