Inspired by the king and emperor who united Europe in the early Middle Ages, the Sword of Charlemagne with Plaque is an intricately detailed take on Charlemagne’s sword Joyeuse, the personal weapon supposedly used by Charlemagne.
For home or office décor these Medieval Swords of Charlemagne were recreated by the world-famous sword smiths of Toledo Spain and are in Mint Condition. The swords each come with a custom made oak finish wall plaque.
The stainless steel blades are mirror polished embellished with engraved intertwined floral depicting a coronation by the Archbishop. The handle (hilt) cross is finished in bronze and is in the shape of two winged dragons. The top depicts two winged eagles, two winged dragons and two octopi entwined. Grip is textured similar to wire wrapping. Overall length: ~ 38 1/2 inches.
Charlemagne is regarded as the founding father of both France and Germany and sometimes as the Father of Europe.
This replica sword makes a fantastic addition to home décor and is a must-have collectible for history buffs and sword enthusiasts alike. Swords are not forged.
