As a Welder Journeyperson with CWB, you will complete fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta.

• Demonstrate knowledge of the welding equipment involved with various welding procedures.
• Gather all pipe fittings required for the drawing package.

Document heat numbers, cut pipe, prepare fittings and dlegs/trunnions.

• Prepare fittings and pipe to be tacked.
• Read and interpret Acorn & isometric drawings.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of metals, arc electrodes, welding gases and gas welding filter rods.
• Use welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, or SAW to weld pressure piping.

Position Qualifications:

• Welder Journeyperson.
• Alberta B-Pressure Ticket.
• Tacking experience required.
• Stainless experience is an asset.
